VAANYARD is Australian eyewear seen through the eyes of an architect. Founded in Sydney by architect and graphic designer Lee Kan and fashion brand specialist Paul Gilligan, the independent label takes its cues from the inner city — architecture, typography, subcultures and the structures that shape the modern urban landscape.
The frames have presence. Thick 8mm acetate fronts are cut with sharp bevels and balanced against substantial temples, while custom hinges, rivets and hardware are developed specifically for the collection. Japanese and Italian acetates are carefully aged before production, then handcrafted in limited quantities with an emphasis on proportion, balance and finish.

Substantial 8mm acetate, sharp bevelling and strong geometric silhouettes give VAANYARD its distinctive presence. Look closer and you’ll find the details: custom hardware, graphic elements influenced by typography and the individual frame name laser-marked across the top of the acetate front.
Warranty: Full manufacturer
VAANYARD frames carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing and component faults. Frames purchased through Eyecare Project can be brought back to us so we can assess the issue and assist with the warranty process.

Eyecare Project prescription lenses come standard with features including anti-reflective, anti-static, hydrophobic, scratch-resistant, and UV protection coatings.

Complimentary Rehab
Frames purchased at Eyecare Project are eligible for a complimentary frame rehab. We’ll replace loose screws, make any necessary adjustments for a comfortable fit, and buff and polish acetate frames to help restore their finish and shine.
