Each team member brings unique expertise and a genuine passion for patient care, ensuring that every interaction is centered around the well-being and confidence of our clients.

Principal Optometrist

Dr Georgia Maloney

Georgia is the Principal Optometrist at Eyecare Project and has over a decade of experience in eye care. After graduating from Deakin University in 2015, she developed a strong interest in preventative eye health, dry eye disease, and myopia management.

Georgia has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease and plays a pivotal role in shaping and continually refining Eyecare Project’s dry eye protocols. Drawing on the latest evidence-based research, extensive clinical experience, and patient outcomes, she helps ensure the practice remains at the forefront of dry eye care.

Known for her warm, thorough, and personalised approach, Georgia is passionate about delivering tailored care that empowers patients to better understand and manage their eye health. She also has a special interest in paediatric eye care and myopia control, helping children achieve the best possible visual outcomes.

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys exploring Melbourne’s food scene, travelling, and spending time with her French Bulldog, Griffin.

Georgia consults Monday to Friday, with Monday to Thursday consulting hours on alternating weeks.

Optometrist

Dr Stefan Mclouta

Stefan is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist with a special interest in dry eye disease and ocular surface health. Stefan has also worked collaboratively with ophthalmologists in the management of eye disease and post-operative cataract care.

Before joining Eyecare Project, Stefan worked at Vista Eyes under renowned ophthalmologist and pioneering laser eye surgeon Dr Rick Wolfe. As part of Dr Wolfe’s experienced surgical team, Stefan provided pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing laser vision correction, cataract surgery and implantable contact lens procedures. He was also involved in the clinic’s specialised dry eye service, managing patients with treatments including IPL, red light therapy, punctal plug insertion, meibography and ocular therapeutics. His surgical experience includes planning for LASIK, PRK and PTK, together with advanced diagnostic imaging such as corneal topography, biometry, OCT and endothelial microscopy.

Stefan has a particular interest in dry eye and ocular surface disease. He also contributed to the scientific paper, Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography Meibography Compared with Keratograph Meibography, published in Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics.

Clinically focused and passionate about patient-centred healthcare, Stefan is committed to providing comprehensive and thoughtful care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr Kelly Wu

Kelly Wu has over a decade of clinical experience and is a highly experienced optometrist with a special interest in dry eye disease and ocular surface health. She began her career in Brisbane, where she led clinicians across three practices and worked closely with ophthalmologists to co-manage glaucoma, macular degeneration, LASIK surgery, retinal detachments, and other complex eye conditions. Kelly was also among the first optometrists in Queensland to gain therapeutic endorsement to prescribe topical medications.

Kelly is passionate about delivering evidence-based, personalised dry eye care, combining advanced diagnostics with tailored treatment plans to improve long-term comfort, vision, and quality of life. She also has a special interest in paediatric eye care and myopia management, having been an inaugural optometrist in the Paediatric Alignment Program at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, Kelly is known for her calm, compassionate, and thorough approach, ensuring every patient feels supported and empowered throughout their eye care journey.

Kelly consults on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Practice Manager

Anna

Having graduated from Monash University in 2011, Anna spent a decade working as an Environmental Manager in the oil and gas industry in Malaysia before migrating to Australia and pursuing a more people-focused career in the allied health sector, specifically optometry. She now brings eight years of experience as a Practice Manager within the optometry industry and is passionate about designing multifocal lenses for individuals with complex prescriptions and diverse visual demands.

Outside of work, Anna is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. Having trained and competed at an elite level, Jiu Jitsu has taught her to think outside the box – an approach she applies when finding tailored solutions for her patients’ visual needs. Above all, Anna’s greatest joy is her two children. Motherhood and raising a neurodiverse child have deepened her empathy and strengthened her sense of connection, shaping the way she approaches both life and work, and inspiring her to lead with compassion, integrity, and gratitude.

Dr Jeremy Chan

Jeremy was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, before moving to Australia in 2014 to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Melbourne. During his studies, he served as Vice President of the University of Melbourne Optometry Students Society and gained valuable clinical externship experience, including a residency at the State University of New York (SUNY).

Jeremy is therapeutically endorsed and has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease. He is passionate about advancing dry eye care and continually invests in the latest diagnostic technology and evidence-based treatments to ensure Eyecare Project provides the highest standard of care.

Jeremy takes a holistic, personalised, and unhurried approach to every consultation. Rather than simply treating symptoms, he works to identify the underlying causes of ocular disease, taking into account each patient’s health, lifestyle, environment, and individual circumstances. He believes that patient education is just as important as treatment, empowering patients to understand their condition, recognise the factors they can influence, and develop realistic, long-term management strategies.

As Co-Founder and Head of Operations and Growth at Eyecare Project, Jeremy helps shape the practice’s vision, drives innovation, and supports the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Jeremy remains in clinical practice and is available for consultations on request.
