Unique Design Milano is one of the most ambitious names in independent Italian eyewear. Founded in Milan in 2018 by Stefano Romanelli and Mattia Colleoni, UDM grew out of a family design heritage dating to the late 1960s, translating Milan’s architecture and creative energy into eyewear.
Every frame is designed in Milan and handcrafted by artisans in Italy and Japan through more than 200 manual steps. Bold, sculpted silhouettes in premium Italian acetate, engineered with custom seven-barrel hinges and exposed core wire, striking to look at and light to wear.

Frames purchased at Eyecare Project are eligible for a complimentary frame rehab. We’ll replace loose screws, make any necessary adjustments for a comfortable fit, and buff and polish acetate frames to help restore their finish and shine.
