Our clinical Standard

Sterilised. Sealed. Traceable.

Every instrument used in your treatment is individually sealed and sterilised in a Class B medical autoclave after every patient. The same standard required for surgical instruments.

Class B is the highest sterilisation class for tabletop autoclaves, the standard required for wrapped surgical instruments in medical and dental settings.

Why it Matters

Instruments used near your eyes deserve a higher standard.

Many of our treatments involve instruments that come into direct contact with your eyelids and lashes: meibomian gland expression, ZEST eyelid deep cleaning, foreign body removal and dry eye procedures.

In many settings, this work is done with cotton buds, improvised tools, or instruments cleaned with basic disinfection. These methods cannot guarantee sterility, and they cannot match the precision of a purpose-designed instrument.

We took a different approach. Every reusable instrument at Eyecare Project goes through a complete cleaning, packaging and sterilisation process after every single patient. Not at the end of the day. After every patient.

Our Promise

You will never be treated with a cotton bud where a precision instrument belongs, and never with an instrument that isn’t freshly sterilised.

We use Medicare’s Easyclaim system to submit your claim on the spot, allowing eligible patients to receive a rebate of between $34.00 and $67.85 directly into their nominated bank account. You may have used this system at your GP, as it is widely used by medical practices.
